Dadhimathi Shikshak Prashikshan Mahavidyalaya Sriganganagar was established by eminent social worker & astrologist Shri Kundan Lal Sharma under the aegis of Dadhimathi Shikahan Sansthan in 1980-81. The institution was initially affiliated from the university of Rajasthan Jaipur (Letter No F.1-180/80-81/Aca.II/187 A dated 5.1.81) as a centre of co-education in the realm of teachers Training. From the very beginning Pt.Kundan Lal Sharma, the founder of the institution had a desire to establish this institution as Mahila Shikshak Prashikshan Mahavidyalaya.

The untiring efforts of Shri Shanti Prakash Trivedi made it feasible to get permission from state government in this regard. The state govt. as per letter No.F.12/22/Shiksha-1/85/dated 14 July 1987 and 2 sept. 1987 passed an order to change the nature of the institution from Dadhimathi Shiksha Mahavidyalaya to Dadhimathi Mahila Shikshak Prashikshan Mahavidyalaya (centre of women teachers training) now it offers pre-service face to face teacher education for women to the B.Ed. degree.

The institution at present is affiliated from the university of Bikaner, Bikaner (Raj.) .It is permanently recognized by national Council of teacher education (Letter No.F-3/R.J.T./B.Ed./2000/4879 dated 24-7-2000).

The Committee of management with its resources & infrastructure provided is determined to extend this teacher training programme with the start of Elementary Teachers Training Institute - S.T.C. In this regard the management of the institution promises to follow the rules & regulation of the National Council of Teachers Education. Dadhi Mathi Mahila Shikshak Prikshan Mahavidylya Sri.Ganganagar(Raj.) submitted an application to the Northen regional commitee of NCTE for permission of S.T.C. course in terms of section 15(1) of NCTE Act 1993 .Now there for in exercise of the power vested under section 15(3)(a) of the NCTE Act 1993. The Regional Commitee here by grant permission to Dadhi Mathi Mahila Shiksak Prikshan Mahavidlya Sri.Ganganagar (Raj.) for an annual in take of 50 seats (fifty only)(fifty seats in the Ist year and the same for the IInd year). In S.T.C. course of two year duration with effect from the session 2006-2007.

The institution signifies Righteousness, integrity, and Enlightenment which the institute aims at developing among its students and teachers. The institute believes that the quality of human resource is determined by the quality of education the knowledge, attitudes, values and practical experiences provided to children and youth through formal, informal education.

It is also an established fact that the quality of teachers their commitment and motivation for the teaching profession and their professional training is the most important factor which influences the quality of education .Therefore ,the training of teachers becomes an important component in improving the quality of teaching in schools. Of all the factors which determine the quality of education and its contribution to national development, teacher is undoubtedly the most important. It is on his personal qualities and character, his educational qualification and competence that the success of all educational Endeavours' must ultimately depend. Dadhimathi Mahila Shikshak Prashikshan Mahavidyalaya endeavors to provide modern facilities for curriculum and co-curriculum programmes to materialize this sacred mission.
